At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Tran Le Hong - Deputy Director of the National Office of Intellectual Property of Viet Nam awarded the Decision on granting the Certificate of registration of the certified trademark "Son La" to the Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Certificate of Registration of certified trademark "Song Ma Purple Sugarcane" for leaders of Song Ma district.
Overview of the Announcement Ceremony of the Decision to grant the Certificate of Trademark Registration "Son La"
On July 21, 2021, in Song Ma district, the People's Committee of Son La province held a ceremony to announce the decision to grant the certificate of registration of the trademark "Son La" and cut the ribbon to depart the batch of Song Ma - Son La will be exported to EU and UK markets in 2021. Attending the announcement ceremony, on Son La side, there were Mr. Hoang Quoc Khanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Thai Hung, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Council; Colonel To Quang Hanh, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and etc. On the side of the NOIP, there were Mr. Tran Le Hong, Deputy Director and representative of the Center for Research, Training and Support and Consulting.
At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Tran Le Hong - Deputy Director of the National Office of Intellectual Property of Viet Nam handed over the Decision on granting the Certificate of trademark registration "Son La" to the Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Certificate of Trademark Registration of "Song Ma Purple Sugarcane" for the Leaders of Song Ma district; Mr. Luu Binh Khiem Director of the Department of Science and Technology awarded the Certificate of Right to Use the Certification trademark "Son La" to 25 cooperatives in the province. Also at the announcement ceremony, representatives of enterprises and cooperatives signed a memorandum of understanding on production and consumption of longan products.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Quoc Khanh expressed his joy, excitement and gratitude to the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) for effective support for trademark registration "Son La Label". This is an affirmation of the province's reputation and quality of agricultural products, contributing to perfecting the legal framework, creating a solid foundation for the provision of products from the province's longan to the domestic and international markets, towards the goal of improving people's income and living standards.
In order to ensure good exploitation of the certification trademark "Son La", especially making trademark "Son La" to become a strong brand in the domestic and foreign country, Deputy Director Tran Le Hong proposed the province direct the construction synchronous solutions for production and business along the value chain combined with digital transformation, in which the organization and operation of the certification trademark management system plays a particularly important role in ensuring output product quality; exploiting exclusive advantages for specialty products; well promote, market and protect the trademark "Son La" in domestic and foreign markets. In addition, the work of propaganda and awareness raising for all levels of management, people and businesses about the role of Son La certification trademark for longan products should be promoted so that each individual can participate in the activities. This value chain understands and sees the value that this product brings to itself and to the community. Cooperatives, households, businesses and individual farmers involved in growing, processing, producing and trading longan products need to uphold the sense of responsibility for each of their jobs. Another important issue is the need for solutions to support policies and resources for businesses and people to invest and apply science and technology, especially post-harvest technologies and processing technologies for products in order to protect the prestige and quality, and solve the supply and demand problems of the market well.
