Anti-epidemic technologies for industrial parks
The application of technology solutions in the prevention of COVID-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City is still weak, lacking in comprehensiveness and not associated with the practical needs of businesses and people. The strengthening of the combination among vaccination, implementation of 5K and application of technology should be implemented synchronously in the coming time.

That is the sharing of Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi, Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park at the event "HCA TekTalk Series: Technology and Life" thematic "Technology to prevent COVID-19 in industrial parks", organized online by the Ho Chi Minh City Informatics Association in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology on August 12.
According to Mr. Thi, the solution is "3 on the spot" (Produce on the spot - Eat on the spot - Rest on the spot), "1 route - 2 locations" (only one route concentrates workers from place of production to the residence of workers) is only a temporary solution, short-term and many businesses start to face difficulties when the distance is prolonged. In order for businesses to adapt to the "new normal" and ensure production and worker safety during the pandemic, Mr. Thi emphasized, it is necessary to combine vaccination and strict implementation of 5K with technology applications.
Mr. Thi added that, stemming from the need to support businesses in managing their workforce, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park has put into use a GIS-based employee management software system. Accordingly, enterprises will regularly, fully and accurately update the list of employees with the same address of residence, including the number of seasonal workers and employees in other units (coming to work, participating in business activities). Thereby, can be proactive when epidemics occur and easily trace. In addition, from the data source of employees, combined with the information of cases F0, F1, F2, epidemiological map of the City, enterprises can monitor the route of employees, thereby organizing, expanding production more safely.
Mrs. Chu Van Hai, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, said that the Department is organizing a program "Finding and connecting innovative solutions to cope with the COVID-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City in 2021". In addition, the Department also has some programs and policies to support enterprises in researching and applying technology to production and business activities.
“Finding appropriate innovative and technological solutions, associated with the practical needs of businesses, will help proactively respond to the complicated developments of the epidemic in industrial parks and technology parks, export processing zones in the city", Mrs. Hai said.
