Lừa thực sự thích sống ở vùng khí hậu nóng
Lừa từng là một loại phương tiện giao thông rẻ tiền so với ngựa. Tuy nhiên, ngày nay ở phương Tây, những con lừa được xem là thú cưng và vì vậy mọi người quan tâm nhiều hơn đến sức khỏe của chúng.

Hiện nay, các nhà khoa học từ Đại học Portsmouth đã phát hiện ra rằng loài động vật này, thường được gắn liền với Giáng sinh, chúng thích thời tiết nóng hơn.

Mặc dù đối với người, lừa giống như thú cưng, nhưng ở một số nơi trên thế giới chúng vẫn được sử dụng làm động vật làm việc. Mặc dù chúng nhỏ hơn nhiều và không mạnh bằng ngựa, nhưng chúng tương đối khỏe và có sức bền.

Hiện nay, các nhà khoa học đã nghiên cứu tổng cộng 130 con lừa và con la ở hai địa điểm ở miền Nam Tây Ban Nha. Tất cả những con vật này đều khỏe mạnh và không được sử dụng cho công việc. Chúng được nuôi dưỡng tốt và có một nơi trú ẩn thoải mái.

Các nhà khoa học đã theo dõi chúng trong khoảng thời gian bảy tuần và chú ý đến điều kiện thời tiết. Họ phát hiện ra những con lừa rất thích ánh nắng mặt trời và sự ấm áp lâu hơn con la và ít có khả năng tìm nơi trú ẩn khỏi sức nóng và ánh sáng mặt trời.

Lừa là một loài, trong khi con la thực sự là con lai giữa lừa và ngựa. Con la thậm chí có sức mạnh bền bỉ hơn một chút, nhưng không thích thời tiết nóng giống như lừa.
