Bí quyết giúp Na Uy tái chế 97% số chai nhựa trên toàn quốc
Na Uy là một trong những quốc gia đi đầu trong việc tái chế rác thải nhựa. Họ có tỷ lệ tái chế chai nhựa lên tới 97%, vượt mục tiêu mà EU hướng đến vào năm 2029.

Hệ thống hoàn tiền là chìa khóa cho sự thành công của Na Uy. Cụ thể, khách hàng sẽ phải trả thêm một khoản phí bổ sung khoảng 13 – 30 cent cho mỗi chai đồ uống. Số tiền này được hoàn lại nếu họ đem trả vỏ chai sau khi sử dụng thông qua một trong số 3.700 máy thu chai tự động đặt tại các cửa hàng tạp hóa và cửa hàng tiện lợi.

Các chủ cửa hàng sẽ nhận một khoản tiền nhỏ khi mỗi chiếc chai được thu gom lại. Vòng đời của một số chai nhựa ở Na Uy có thể lên tới 50 lần tái chế.

Ngành công nghiệp tái chế của Na Uy nhận thức được thế giới đang phải đối mặt với nhiều vấn đề từ ô nhiễm rác thải nhựa nhưng cho rằng nhựa vẫn có tương lai đầy hứa hẹn nếu được tái chế hợp lý.

“Viễn cảnh về một tương lai vắng bóng nhựa rất khó trở thành hiện thực bởi vì nhựa rất hữu ích đối với đời sống con người. Tuy nhiên, điều mấu chốt là chúng ta không thải nhựa ra môi trường”, Kjell Olav A Maldives, Giám đốc điều hành công ty Infinitum, cho biết.
