The first wind power plants in Soc Trang province, including: Lac Hoa wind power, Quoc Vinh wind power and wind power No. 7 have just been energized by the Southern Power System Dispatch Center (A2) and the investors success.

Lac Hoa Wind Power Plant (Wind Power Plant No.5) is located in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, invested by Vinh Chau Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company - TDC, after completing phase 1, it has the capacity of 30 MW.
Construction items include 6 wind turbine pylons; building a 22 kV 2-circuit transmission line with a capacity of 3 turbines to the 22/110 kV station; 22/110 kV substation (substation) including 1 transformer (MBA) 40 MVA will connect to the national 110 kV grid at 110 kV Vinh Chau station.
The project has a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND on a planned area of 5.6 hectares on the mainland. Once completed and put into operation, the plant will supply electricity to the national power system with an output an annual average of about 93 million kWh.
Quoc Vinh Wind Power Plant (Wind Power Plant No. 6) is located in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, invested by Quoc Vinh - Soc Trang Wind Power Company Limited, phase 1 has a capacity of 30 MW.
Construction items include 6 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 5.3 MW; the 22 kV 2-circuit transmission line gathers the capacity of 3 turbines to the 22/110 kV station; 22/110 kV substation, 1 40 MVA transformer; invest in a dual-circuit line connected to Wind Power Plant No. 7, Soc Trang Province and connect to the national 110 kV grid at the 110 kV Vinh Chau station.
The project has a total investment of more than 1,420 billion VND on a planned area of 7.5 hectares on the mainland, the average annual output is about 95 million kWh.
Wind power plant No. 7 in Soc Trang province is located in Vinh Chau town, Soc Trang province, invested by Soc Trang Energy Joint Stock Company - Xuan Cau Limited Company, after completing phase 1, with a capacity of 30 MW.
Construction items include 7 wind turbines with a capacity of 4.2 MW, these turbines are located entirely on the sea with a length of 7.4 km; construction of a 22 kV 2-circuit transmission line, a collection line with a capacity of 3 turbines and a transmission line with a capacity of 4 turbines to the 22/110 kV station; 22/110 kV substation including 1 40 MVA transformer; invest in a 110 kV double circuit 50 m long line and connect it to the 110 kV line of wind power plant No. 6.
The project has a total investment of more than VND 1,500 billion on the planned area of 3,100 hectares for both phases, with an average annual output of about 108 million kWh.
