IT product development program for e-Government: 100% of the projects have been accepted for practical applications
100% of the projects accepted in the Program "Technology research and development of information technology products for e-Government" (KC.01/16-20) have results that are applied in practice. Targets in terms of product numbers and international announcements both exceeded by at least twice the original expectations.

On October 16, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Science and Technology and Hanoi Polytechnic University jointly held a conference to summarize the program "Technology research and development of information technology products for e-Government" (KC.01/16-20).
The KC.01 program had been implemented since 2016 with the goal of developing technology solutions for hardware and software, creating a foundation for applications serving e-Government activities. Simultaneously, building a system of national standards, technical regulations, product inspection, human resource development, perfecting mechanisms and policies to promote information technology application, forming an ecosystem to promote the application of information technology for e-Government development.
Based on the objectives and contents of the program framework, the Board of Directors has selected 26 tasks. Currently, 24/26 projects have been accepted with good results, while 2 projects have been accepted at the grassroots level and are expected to be accepted at the national level this October. “Basically, 80% of the program's goals have been completed”, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Huynh Quyet Thang, Rector of Hanoi Polytechnic University, Program Manager, said.
Notably, many results exceeded the set targets. Specifically, the achieved results include: 18 types of machinery and equipment products (281 products); 44 software products, databases. In which, 19/44 products are registered for intellectual property protection (61%, 50% higher than expected. In addition, there are 30 articles published internationally, 28 articles published in the country, 34 articles published at international conferences, 8 articles published at domestic conferences, trained 78 masters, participated in 35 doctoral training, these results were at least twice higher than the original expectation.
According to the final report, 100% of the projects that have been accepted that are applied in practice, serving the management activities and public service provision of state agencies. Typically, the software providing public administrative services on the basis of the provincial data integration and sharing platform (LGSP) has been applied in Quang Nam; an online public service delivery system in the field of land management applying blockchain technology integrated by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on the National Public Service Portal, and etc.
