Hung Yen: Implement traceability according to TCVN 12850:2019
The Department of Science and Technology of Hung Yen province has cooperated with the National Center for Barcodes to organize a scientific workshop on "Traceability of products and goods in accordance with national standards TCVN 12850:2019 in association with improving productivity and quality of products and goods in Hung Yen province in the period of 2021-2030".

Mr. Tran Tung Chuan - Director of Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Bui Ba Chinh - Deputy Director in charge of the National Barcode Center (Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality) together with representatives of departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns in the province and more than 50 Representatives from enterprises in the province attended the workshop.

Reporting at the conference, Mr. Dao Manh Hung - Deputy Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality, Department of Science and Technology of Hung Yen province presented the current status of codes, barcodes, traceability of products, goods, electronic traceability, etc. in the area.

According to Mr. Hung, at present, traceability is being scattered because it has not been connected and shared between sectors and localities; traceability information has not been fully met; users may have to install many software at the same time due to individual solution providers, not forming common software for the entire product chain, etc.

Therefore, to ensure good connectivity, it is necessary to apply a national traceability system to deploy, apply and manage a common traceability system in accordance with the national standard TCVN 12850:2019 associated with the program improve productivity and quality of products and goods.

This workshop will be the basis for well implementation of the Prime Minister's Decision 100/QD-TTg dated January 19, 2019 on approving the Scheme on implementation, application and management of the traceability system. The workshop introduced the Prime Minister's Project 100 and the implementation, construction and application of the National Traceability Portal, the ability to integrate the traceability systems of provinces and cities throughout the country.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Tran Tung Chuan - Director of Hung Yen Department of Science and Technology affirmed that the traceability of products and goods is necessary and indispensable today. In particular, the traceability of products in accordance with national standards TCVN 12850: 2019 associated with the program to improve product quality and product quality in Hung Yen province in the period of 2021-2030 must be carried out simultaneously effectively to improve productivity and product quality, and at the same time protect the interests of consumers.

Director of Hung Yen Department of Science and Technology highly appreciated the cooperation of sectors and localities, the help of the National Barcode Center; sense of responsibility and opinions of delegates, scientists, managers and businesses to contribute to the improvement of product and goods traceability in accordance with national standards TCVN. 12850:2019 is associated with the program to improve the productivity and quality of products and goods of Hung Yen province in the period of 2021-2030, which is being implemented by the Department of Science and Technology.

He also suggested that the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality continues to coordinate with the National Center for Barcodes; Departments, localities and businesses in the province seriously and effectively implement the above project. It is proposed that the National Barcode Center, departments, branches, localities and businesses in the province actively coordinate with the Department to effectively implement the traceability of products and goods in accordance with national standards. TCVN 12850:2019 is associated with the program to improve productivity and quality of products and goods in the period of 2021-2030 to improve productivity and quality, protect the interests of domestic and foreign consumers in general and Hung Yen in particular.
