Government approved Press Digital Transformation Strategy
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just signed Decision No. 348/QD-TTg dated April 6, 2023 approving the Strategy "Digital transformation of the press to 2025, orientation to 2030".

Digital transformation of the press aims to build press agencies in the direction of professionalism, humanity and modernity; well fulfill the mission of information and propaganda to serve the revolutionary cause of the Party and the renovation cause of the country; ensuring the leading role, orienting public opinion, maintaining information sovereignty in cyberspace; effectively innovate the reader experience; create new revenue sources; promote the development of the digital content industry.

100% of press agencies put content on digital platforms

The goal is that by 2030, 100% of press agencies will put their contentS on digital platforms (with priority given to domestic digital platforms). 90% of press agencies use a centralized data processing and analysis platform, applying artificial intelligence to optimize operations.

100% of press agencies operate, operate a converged newsroom model and suitable models for the development of advanced science and technology in the world, producing contentS according to digital journalism trends.

Press agencies optimize revenue sources, in which 50% of press agencies increase revenue by at least 20%.

To achieve the above goal, the Strategy sets out key tasks and solutions, such as Raising awareness, strengthening propaganda; review and finalize legal regulations; development of digital press products; digital platform development; develop and improve the quality of human resources; strengthen international cooperation, learn from the experiences of countries with strong digital press.

Developing high-quality digital press products

Regarding the development of digital press products, the strategy of deploying the design and creation of new information product models on different platforms to increase interaction with readers and distribute information content faster, more broadly and precisely according to the needs of readers; developing high-quality digital press products, effectively innovating readers' experiences; develop products and suitable service packages for each target audience.

To develop the digital platform, the Strategy builds tools to collect, process data, evaluate, forecast, monitor press quality; building an index to assess the maturity level of press digital transformation; promote the formation and development of the digital (online) radio platform and the national (online) digital television platform; Electronic press platform.

Promote the development of a digital platform for press agencies to distribute press content and share press data; encourage press agencies with sufficient technological and financial potential to build their own platforms to meet the requirements of digital transformation.

Support press agencies to promote the application of information technology in management and operation through the application of an electronic newsroom management platform at press agencies; research, development and application of technologies in digital transformation of the field of press through key national science and technology programs.
