Ca Mau: Promote application and replication of research results into production and life
Practically celebrating Vietnam Science and Technology (S&T) Day 18/05, on 16/05/2023, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province held a scientific conference: "Solutions to promote application, replicate results research, test and propose to order provincial tasks in 2024”. Reporting at the workshop, Mr. Phan Tan Thanh - Director of Ca Mau Department of Science and Technology said that in the period of 2020-2023, Ca Mau province has 96 approved projects (89 projects at provincial level and 07 national-level projects), including 04 projects under the Program to support the application and transfer of science and technology advances to promote socio-economic development in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas for the period of 2016-2025 and 03 projects under urgent S&T tasks. For the provincial level, the Provincial People's Committee approved and the tasks under the programs managed by the Department of Science and Technology, approved for inclusion in the list are 89 projects (in the field of social sciences 08 tasks; agriculture 59 tasks); medicine and pharmacy 04 tasks; engineering and technology 17 tasks; natural science 01 task). In general, most of the projects are implemented with practical effects, such as: providing databases, scientific arguments, serving the development of industries and fields; provide solutions and implementation measures to perfect the technological process, improve productivity, product quality applied to production and life.
Speaking at the workshop, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su highly appreciated the results achieved by the science and technology industry and suggested that the Department of Science and Technology needs to develop a plan to promote the application and replication of research results into production and life. In addition, it is necessary to systematize the difficulties and shortcomings, point out the causes and propose solutions to solve them for submission to the Provincial People's Committee for timely promulgation in order to further promote the development of science and technology in the area.
