Vietnamese professor in Japan named in Research.com's list
Recently, Research.com has just announced an update to the ranking of scientists with outstanding achievements in research in 2023.

It is known that this ranking is evaluated based on the D-index, which is evaluated on the basis of scientific articles and citation value in a specific field, contribution rate in a certain field, in addition to the achievements and awards of scientists.
In this publication, Professor Tran Dang Xuan of Hiroshima University, the only Vietnamese in Japan named in the list. He was honored in the fields of agriculture and plant science.
Professor Xuan has more than 200 articles in international scientific journals and is the scientist who found two precious compounds momilactone A and momilactone B in rice that have inhibitory effects on cancer and diabetes. Professor Tran Dang Xuan is also the only foreigner among the 78 scientists of Hiroshima University to be ranked this time.
In 2023 Research.com publishes data on 166,880 scientists with the world's top publication and citation indexes. The US tops the table with 63,782 scientists, the UK is second (13,027 scientists) and China is third (9,812 scientists). In Southeast Asia, Singapore ranked first with 922 scientists, followed by Malaysia (224) and Thailand (120).
