Vietnamese photographer won international ocean photo contest
With his work, photographer Nguyen Ngoc Thien won the "International Ocean Photography 2023" contest, the category of Coral reefs in the world and Portrait of marine animals.

Recently, Ocean Geographic Society (OGS) and Oceanographic magazine Ocean Geographic (OG) announced the results of the contest "International Ocean Photography 2023".
This is an annual contest, honoring the most impressive works related to the ocean, thereby conveying the message of preserving the environment and ocean ecosystems. This is also the 10th time the "International Ocean Photography 2023" contest has been held, with 17 photo categories with a total prize value of up to 90,000 USD.
In the list of winners this year, there was a surprise name of Vietnamese photographer named Nguyen Ngoc Thien. His two winning works include: Second prize in the category "Coral reefs in the world" with the work "Hon Yen Coral Garden" taken in Phu Yen waters and Consolation prize in the category "Portraits of animals" with the work "Puffer fish and plastic cups" taken during a scuba diving trip in Nam Du archipelago, Kien Giang.
