Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh: Newspapers must go faster in digital transformation
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh came up with a request to press agencies at a meeting with the Vietnam Journalists Association and leaders of some press agencies on June 13.

On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Revolutionary Press Day of Vietnam (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met and worked with the press industry.
On behalf of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Chairman Le Quoc Minh - Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, said that the association currently has 24,242 members, living in 301 association-level units, including: 63 provincial journalist associations, city; 20 associations; 218 affiliated branches. From past and present leaders, to members of the Vietnam Journalists Association, and journalists across the country are always united, proactive, creative, striving to overcome difficulties, constantly growing; always accompany and stick with the revolutionary cause of the Party, the country and the nation.
President Le Quoc Minh emphasized that the Vietnam Journalists Association will continue to accompany press agencies to strengthen the strong application of information technology and digital transformation in journalistic activities; building a model of a converged newsroom, integrating multimedia, transmitting multi-platform, and becoming a powerful multimedia press agency.
The Prime Minister affirmed that this is an important task in digital transformation. The Journalism industry cannot be slow in digital transformation, so it needs to be more breakthrough, go faster. "We can't leave the press agency behind on digital transformation," stressed the head of the Government.
