Promoting the productivity movement for Vietnam's young generation
In the afternoon of March 6, representatives of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality accompanied Dr. Indra Pradana Singawinata - Secretary General of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) visited and worked at the headquarters of the Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Tuong Lam said that currently, the Vietnamese youth force accounts for 35% of the total number of workers. This is a large force, so , increasing the labor productivity of young workers is extremely important.
Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam expressed his expectation that after today's working session, APO will have many programs to coordinate and support the Central Youth Union in implementing its tasks in this field. At the same time, it contributes to strengthening the understanding of both sides about the activities, programs and key future plans of the two organizations, opening up an effective cooperative relationship between Ho Chi Minh City Central Communist Youth Union and the Asian Productivity Organization (APO), contributing to promoting the implementation of the productivity movement for union members and youth in Vietnam.
At the meeting, Mr. Indra Pradana Singawinata hoped that today's meeting will be a good premise for coordination and cooperation in upcoming programs. Through APO's focal point, training courses and resources will be sent to the Central Government to deploy activities.

Comrade Nguyen Tuong Lam also requested APO as well as the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, Ministry of Science and Technology to pay attention to Vietnamese youth, especially students and young workers, who are the main target groups to target training human resources to deploy Youth Union activities and youth movements associated with performing professional work, improving labor productivity through enhancing exchange and sharing of experiences; organize training courses for union members and Vietnamese youth in a variety of fields, especially based on the application of science, technology and innovation.
