Exploit new opportunities for applying technology into healthcare
During two days May 9-10 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Cultural Palace, Hanoi, the Vietnam Smart International Health Forum 2024 - Vietnam Smart Health 2024 was held with the theme "Digital transformation technology in the medical industry." VUSTA Vice President Pham Ngoc Linh attended and gave a closing speech at the event's plenary forum.

The Vietnam Smart International Medicine and Pharmacy Forum - Smart Health VietNam in 2024 was organized by the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation (a unit under VUSTA), the National Center for Health Information - Ministry of Health coordinated with Vietnam Medical Import-Export Joint Stock Company to co-organize. It attracted the participation of a large number of experts, individuals, businesses, organizations, and university students in the fields of health and technology, creating a forum to exchange and share advanced ideas and smart medical and pharmaceutical innovation solutions. Main contents of the forum: Smart technologies and digital transformation of Medicine and Pharmacy; AI & Data in smart health and digital health; Wearable device ecosystem, remote medicine, medical record management, hospital.
The insightful reports at the forum brought new and valuable perspectives to the community. The discussion also created an opportunity for professionals and managers to share experiences and opinions about applying technologies in practice, contributing to discovering and exploiting new opportunities in applying technologies into healthcare, from health care services to hospital management.
Speaking at the Plenary Forum on the Future of Medicine and Health Care: Smart Technology and Digital Transformation in Medicine and Pharmacy, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Ngoc Linh - Vice President of VUSTA appreciated the identification of challenges and opportunities in implementing digital transformation solutions in the healthcare sector as well as focusing on the importance of leveraging digital transformation solutions to improve healthcare quality and increase efficiency of health system operations; thereby encouraging the research, application and development of these new technologies to optimize health service delivery as well as collaboration to create the most effective solutions.
