Vietnam received the regional outstanding and excellent individual award for productivity from the Asian Productivity Organization
From May 28 - 29, 2024, the 66th Executive Board Meeting (GBM) of the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) was held with the participation of 20 member economies and the APO Secretary General, APO Secretariat.

Dr. Ha Minh Hiep, Acting General Director of the STAMEQ, won the Regional Meritorious and Distinguished Award (APO Meritorious and Distinguished Award) in the APO Productivity movement.
As the highest-level conference of APO held annually including representatives of national APO Directors of member economies, GBM decides many important policy issues of APO, such as annual policies, budget allocation for project activities over the years,... The 66th GBM was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Ha Minh Hiep, Director of Vietnam's APO, Acting Director General of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality, is the head of the Vietnamese delegation attending the Conference.
The conference discussed and approved important policies and strategies of APO, such as policies and results of implementation of APO projects in recent times, financial reports for 2023, and reports on the results of the Leadership Meeting of Productivity Agency (WSM), Green Productivity GP 2.0, evaluating APO Vision results 2025, Independent Third Party Evaluation System for APO Secretariat and Secretary General, reporting to the Center Excellence COE APO, APO Accreditation Agency, review of annual formula, proposals for signing Memorandum of Understanding, APO Regional and Meritorious and Distinguished Awards 2024 (APO Regional and Meritorious and Distinguished Awards).
Speaking at the meeting, APO Secretary General - Dr. AKP Indra Pradana Singawinata emphasized the role of APO as an outstanding international forum to advocate the importance of productivity in policy planning and implementation, expand cooperation with global organizations. Mr. Indra expressed gratitude for the support from APO Directors and APO member economies, emphasizing the efforts and initiatives of APO members in maintaining APO's leadership in the field of productivity across the Asia-Pacific region.
