Promote cooperation in developing the semiconductor industry in Vietnam
On May 17, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong wellcomed and worked with Ms. Sarah Kemp, Vice President in charge of global international government relations of Intel Corporation.

Overview of the meeting
At the meeting, Vice President of Intel introduced an overview of Intel's investment, production and business situation in Vietnam in 2023 and shared the Group's development orientation from now to 2035 related to the following facilities: conference that Intel is researching and studying to enhance Vietnam's role and position in the global supply chain.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong highly appreciated Intel's vision and strategy when considering Vietnam as a potential market in investment and development of the semiconductor field in particular and other fields in general. Intel's focus on research and R&D activities in Vietnam shows that Intel not only considers Vietnam a production location but also a trusted partner.
The Ministry of Information and Communications is currently drafting the Semiconductor IC Industry Development Strategy to 2030 and vision to 2045. The Vietnamese Government determines to promote the Semiconductor Industry and consideres it a key national industry.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed many important contents to promote cooperation in developing the semiconductor field in Vietnam and cooperate in training and developing high-quality AI human resources with the Academy of Post Technology and Telecommunication.
