On May 30, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations coordinated with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee to summarize and award 29th VIFOTEC Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Award.
This is an award to honor research that helps improve socio-economic efficiency; contributing to promoting enterprise production; improve productivity, quality, lower product costs, replace imports; and create a technology market to serve life, security and defense.
Among the 130 entries in six fields (Mechanical Automation; Materials Technology; Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications; Biology for production and life; Technology to cope with the climate change, environmental protection and rational use of resources; Technology to save energy and use new energy), the jury selected 47 typical projects, awarding four first prizes (80 million VND/prize), nine Second prizes (60 million VND/prize), 16 Third prizes (40 million VND/prize) and 17 consolation prizes (20 million VND/prize).
At the end of the program, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat launched the VIFOTEC Award 2024.
