The Planning of the Central Highlands to become a region of rapid and sustainable development based on the foundation of science, technology and innovation
On June 23, 2024, the Central Highlands Coordinating Council held its third conference in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Chairman of the Central Highlands Regional Coordination Council, presided the conference. Attending the Conference, there were leaders of central ministries, departments and branches; leaders of the Central Highlands provinces, experts, scientists. Ministry of Science and Technology, there was Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Giang.

At the Conference, leaders of 5 Central Highlands provinces reported on the implementation of Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Central Highlands to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the Government issued Resolution No. 152/NQ-CP dated November 15, 2022 on the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 23-NQ/TW dated October 6, 2022 of Politburo on socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the Central Highlands until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
The conference also approved key tasks to be implemented in 2024, including: ministries, branches and localities coordinate to review current mechanisms and policies and propose specific policy mechanisms for the Central Highlands region to promptly report to the Government and Prime Minister to submit to the National Assembly; Focus on organizing the implementation of planning for the Central Highlands region and provincial plans for the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 according to the Prime Minister's Decision.
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang assessed that in recent times the Central Highlands region has achieved a number of positive and encouraging socio-economic results. Through this Conference, the Council will grasp the problems that localities are facing, then report to the Government and propose solutions for the Region.
