Enforcing intellectual property rights and promoting startup education and the role of university libraries
This is the topic of a workshop recently organized by Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry with the participation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Dong Nai Technology University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Van Hien University and representatives of library leaders of universities in Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas.

The workshop was organized with the purpose of exchanging and sharing information and experiences on university library activities in compliance and enforcement of intellectual property rights (IP) as well as improving startup education in current university environment. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of training, scientific research and the position of universities.
Speaking at the opening of the Workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Tai Huan - Vice Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry, said that raising awareness and understanding for students, lecturers, and scientists at universities on intellectual property rights in using copyrighted materials ethically and legally, ensuring compliance with intellectual property laws during the learning and research process is an urgent requirement in the context of integration and develop. Libraries play an important role in ensuring the effective implementation of IPRs, such as providing access to a wide range of scholarly materials, copyrighted research and licensed databases; provides copyright confirmation support services for researchers who want to publish their works.
