Digital transformation - the "vaccine" against poverty relapse
During the period of 2022-2024, Hoa Binh province has stepped up investment in poverty reduction and job creation by providing technological equipment, such as computers, printers, scanners and online conference systems to poor districts.

Thanks to this, more than 1,000 workers in disadvantaged areas have been able to connect with businesses through 88 mobile and online transaction sessions, along with many training courses, television programmes and documents to help the community raise awareness and knowledge. These activities have contributed to promoting employment and self-reliance for local people.
Technology also helps digitally transform management and socio-economic development, improving access to knowledge for the poor. Households are supported to register and interview online, such as Mr. Bui Van Thuyet, helping them overcome difficulties to find stable jobs. Technology infrastructure also eliminates geographical distances, turning old devices into bridges to open up job opportunities in remote areas, contributing to improving poverty reduction efficiency.
In addition, Hoa Binh province has innovated poverty management using data and software, helping to monitor and inspect more effectively. Thanks to the construction of an accurate data system, poverty screening and reduction work has achieved results beyond expectations: the poverty rate has decreased from 15.49% to 6.59% in five years, contributing to building a more transparent management order. These changes not only improve policy effectiveness but also help people become more self-reliant, opening up opportunities for sustainable development, towards a better life in the future.
