Unique bonsai paper flower brand
Phu Dong paper flower village (Hanoi) has developed the technique of growing bonsai paper flowers with many years of experience, becoming a prominent local product.

From the initial individual planting, so far, gardeners have provided more than 1,200 bonsai paper flower trees of various types to prepare for the 2025 Tet market. This type of flower originates from South America, has a fast growth rate, good resistance and is diverse in color, such as marble, snow purple, snow white, snow red pink, in which many types also change color continuously during the flowering process. Artisans often graft 3-5 types of paper flowers of different colors onto the tree to avoid monotony.

Bougainvillea growers in Phu Dong are increasingly diversifying their products, expanding the bonsai bougainvillea line to suit market demand, especially the line of flowers suitable for indoor display because they are compact and easy to care for. Some gardeners have boldly invested in caring for hundreds of trees, expecting to harvest them in time for Tet with prices ranging from 300,000 to several million VND per tree, suitable for the Northern and Central markets. Thanks to proactive seed sources and grafting techniques, the price of bonsai bougainvillea trees this year has decreased compared to last year, contributing to enhancing the brand and attracting customers.

Phu Dong commune's countryside, with the advantage of spacious land and located along the Duong River, has strongly developed the profession of growing bougainvillea, ornamental plants and other agricultural activities such as rice cultivation, vegetable cultivation, and dairy farming. In particular, bougainvillea growing has been recognized by Hanoi as a craft village, contributing to changing the face of the countryside more and more prosperously. From January 15 to 26, Gia Lam District People's Committee organized the Lunar New Year Spring Flower Fair 2025 in Thuan An Street, displaying more than 100 Tet display items, including products of Phu Dong craft village and other localities such as Kieu Ky, Bat Trang. This is an opportunity to promote and trade traditional products, OCOP and entertainment activities to welcome the new year.
