Awarding ceremony of the 2025 UPU international letter writing competition
Journalist Do Thi Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of the Jury, commented that the excellent entries demonstrated a rich knowledge of the role of the ocean in life, as well as urgent issues, such as plastic pollution, climate change, coral bleaching and rising sea levels. Many works had bold, authentic and emotional ideas, making a strong impression on the judges.

Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers Team and Mr. Nguyen Truong Giang, Head of the Board of Members of Vietnam Post Corporation, presented a certificate of merit and the "Creative Youth" badge to Pham Doan Minh Khue - the owner of the letter that won first prize in the national competition.
The students used their rich imagination and outstanding creativity to tell stories, reminding the community of the importance of the ocean and proposing practical actions to protect the marine ecosystem. Through this, they clearly demonstrated the responsibility of the young generation in nature conservation and sustainable development.
Localities such as Hanoi, Hai Duong, Da Nang, Hue, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh City and Khanh Hoa have promoted their strengths, invested carefully in the entries, contributing to improving the quality and bringing many outstanding works. Thanks to that, the entries achieved impressive results, contributing to the overall success of the contest.
In addition to the First Prize, the Organization Board also awarded 3 Second Prizes, 5 Third Prizes, 30 Encouragement Prizes, 61 "Promising Writer" Prizes, 10 "Source of Ideas" Prizes, and 10 Collective Prizes. In particular, the First and Second Prize winners were honored to receive the "Creative Youth" Badge from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
