Upgrading for 4 consecutive years, Ho Chi Minh City aims to be in the top 100 innovative startup ecosystems in the world
Ho Chi Minh City has moved up one spot, ranking 110th globally and entering the top 5 innovative startup ecosystems in Southeast Asia for the first time according to the StartupBlink 2025 report.

This report evaluates ecosystems based on three main factors: number of startups, quality of financial resources and business environment; in which, improvements in the environment and digitalization policies have contributed to the strong development of Ho Chi Minh City, especially in the fields of Fintech and Blockchain, with impressive growth rates.
This result reflects Ho Chi Minh City’s continuous efforts to improve infrastructure, create favorable conditions for the startup community, as well as active support from the government. The city has maintained its position as a startup hub in Vietnam, and has become an attractive destination in the Asian region, approaching major economies, such as Singapore. The significant growth of regional ecosystems, such as Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Saudi Arabia and Baku has also contributed to highlighting the international trend in developing innovative ecosystems.
In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City plans to develop a startup ecosystem development plan from 2025-2030, consulting with experts to ensure suitability and effectiveness. This aims to put the city in the top 100 innovative ecosystems in the world, in line with the goals in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, enhancing international competitiveness and maintaining its position as a regional and global innovation center.
