In the morning of March 24, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a meeting to select organizations and individuals to preside over the city-level science and technology tasks with a project "Research and manufacturing environmentally friendly lightweight concrete slabs, using fly ash and incinerator slag from the solid waste treatment plant in Can Tho city”. The Council is presided by Mr. Ngo Anh Tin, Director of Can Tho Department of Science and Technology. The study is co-carried by Dr. Dao Vinh Ai and Dr. Tran Tuan Anh. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education is an implementation agency.

Council's members
The study was conducted with the aim of researching and manufacturing lightweight concrete slabs using fly ash, FAC of the solid waste treatment plant of Can Tho city with the role of replacing a large amount of cement and sand aggregates; Evaluation of the physical and mechanical properties and the impact of the product on the environment over time.

Research team
Research contents include: Statistics of domestic and foreign studies; Analyze and evaluate previous approaches; Provide solutions and approaches for this study, taking into account the specific situation of fly ash backlog at the solid waste treatment plant in Can Tho City.
The Council has unanimously approved the project, however, the research team needs to edit and supplement some contents according to the comments of the council members.
