The AI Hack Bootcamp 2021 program has just been announced by the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Business Incubator (SHTP-IC) and the Vietnam E-Commerce Association to attract potential projects and form a community of AI developers with high professional competence.
Mrs. Phan Thi Thuy Ly, Deputy Director of SHTP-IC, said that the program - co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Business Incubator (SHTP-IC) and the Vietnam E-commerce Association - focused on training, consulting based on actual development trends at large enterprises, connecting businesses with technology startups under the "Open Innovation" model, thereby contributing to orienting, promoting and providing necessary support for the developer community based on AI technology applications.
Participants are groups of organizations and individuals who are building businesses using AI or solving a problem in the AI ecosystem; are at the idea stage or have solutions and products applying AI in e-commerce. The organization Board selects projects through scoring and evaluating based on basic criteria, such as innovation, commercialization, and high growth; demonstrating the applied technical factors, which have an impact and significance for the economy and the community.
The program has 2 main phases, including 8 weeks of intensive training and 1-3 years of incubation.
At the training stage, the main activities are online mentoring training on how to standardize data and build models, advise on the commercial feasibility of the solution, and focus on updating new technology knowledge and actual needs from the domestic and international e-commerce market. This phase, accompanied by experts from large enterprises, companies in the field of e-commerce and technologies, will help projects identify viable ideas, test models and complete demos solution.
Incubation phase will select 5-7 projects to be included in the program to connect and support more resources for the project. Specifically, this phase focuses on effectively supporting data standardization activities, completing solutions to be ready for commercialization or technology transfer. In addition, the projects also receive legal support and advice on establishing intellectual property rights; direct connection to capital support programs for small and medium enterprises of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, SpeedUp program of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, etc.
