Southeast Asia's second Industrial Revolution 4.0 Center was established in Vietnam
On April 25, at the High-Tech Park, Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee collaborated with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to organize a workshop "Industrial Revolution 4.0 Center in Ho Chi Minh City - new dynamics for sustainable development."
Event to deploy cooperation between the Government of Vietnam and WEF for the period of 2023-2026, signing an Agreement in Ho Chi Minh City. Cooperate to establish the Center for Industrial Revolution 4.0 (C4IR) in Ho Chi Minh City, becoming the second center in Southeast Asia and the 19th center worldwide.
The C4IR Center in Ho Chi Minh City will support the development of industry 4.0, combining with leading Vietnamese technology enterprises and the global C4IR network. The center will be located in Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, interacting with the modern technology ecosystem and playing a role in promoting sustainable development of the city and the Southeast region.
Domestic and foreign speakers gave their contributions to determining the goals, organizational model and operating plan of the C4IR Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The main function of this Center is to cooperate in research, propose policies, apply and transfer technology in fields, such as green growth, smart cities, and artificial intelligence.
