Internet vạn vật có thể sử dụng pin mặt trời trong nhà
Các nhà nghiên cứu từ Đại học Uppsala, viết trong một bài báo mới trên tạp chí Khoa học hóa học, giới thiệu pin quang điện nhạy cảm với thuốc nhuộm mới được thiết kế để tạo ra năng lượng khi tiếp xúc với ánh sáng trong nhà.

Ước tính hiện tại cho thấy đến năm 2025, thế giới có khả năng có khoảng 75 tỷ thiết bị được kết nối thông qua Internet of Things (IoT), hầu hết trong số đó có thể sẽ được đặt bên trong nhà.

Do việc triển khai rộng rãi các thiết bị như vậy, việc cung cấp năng lượng cho chúng bằng pin hoặc kết nối với lưới sẽ phải được thay thế bằng nguồn năng lượng địa phương không cần bảo trì nhiều.

Một nhóm các nhà nghiên cứu, do Trợ lý Giáo sư Marina Freitag dẫn đầu, đã phát triển pin mặt trời mới cho các ứng dụng trong nhà, có khả năng chuyển đổi tới 34% ánh sáng trong nhà thành điện năng.

Pin mới được chế tạo bằng chất điện phân phức đồng - cung cấp thêm bằng chứng cho thấy pin quang điện nhạy cảm với thuốc nhuộm là bộ chuyển đổi năng lượng hiệu quả nhất trong điều kiện ánh sáng xung quanh, vượt trội so với silicon và pin dựa trên các vật liệu kỳ lạ.

Để làm cho pin hiệu quả hơn nữa, nhóm nghiên cứu cũng đã hợp tác với các nhà nghiên cứu từ Đại học Kỹ thuật Munich để phát triển một hệ thống quản lý năng lượng cho các cảm biến IoT chạy bằng năng lượng mặt trời.

Nhờ trí tuệ nhân tạo và học tập tự động, hệ thống pin có khả năng điều chỉnh khối lượng công việc tính toán theo mức độ chiếu sáng, cho phép nó giảm mức tiêu thụ năng lượng và giảm lãng phí pin.
