Trí tuệ nhân tạo có thể giúp dự đoán bệnh nhân COVID-19
Hầu như cả thế giới đang chiến đấu với một kẻ thù chung là đại dịch COVID-19. Căn bệnh tàn khốc này đang lan rộng bất chấp biên giới, quốc gia. Bệnh chưa có thuốc chữa. Các nhà khoa học từ Đại học Copenhagen đã bắt đầu sử dụng trí trí tuệ nhân tạo để dự đoán bệnh nhân corona.

Máy thở sẽ bị thiếu hụt và điều quan trọng là phải dự đoán bệnh nhân nào sẽ cần sử dụng. Điều này sẽ giúp việc phân phối máy thở theo thứ tự có ý nghĩa nhất. Do đó, các nhà khoa học đã phát triển hệ thống trí tuệ nhân tạo (AI), có khả năng tính toán rủi ro bệnh nhân cần máy thở hoặc cần chăm sóc đặc biệt.

Các thuật toán này sẽ phân tích lượng dữ liệu khổng lồ từ nhiều nguồn, tìm kiếm những đặc điểm chung giữa những bệnh nhân cuối cùng cần máy thở. AI sẽ xem xét các tính năng khác nhau của bệnh nhân, tình trạng các tế bào bạch cầu, việc sử dụng một số loại dược phẩm,... Bệnh nhân COVID-19 nặng máy thở. Sáu đó, thông tin này sẽ được so sánh với các bệnh nhân mới nhập viện, cho phép bác sĩ dự báo chính xác xem có bệnh nhân có cần máy thở.

Các nhà khoa học và bác sĩ đã biết một số yếu tố nguy cơ như hút thuốc, tuổi tác, bệnh hen suyễn và bệnh tim làm tăng nguy cơ làm cho bệnh này nặng hơn. Tuy nhiên, dự đoán không đơn giản.

Các nhà khoa học cho rằng cần thử nghiệm thêm mô hình AI này trước khi đưa vào sử dụng. Dự đoán ai sẽ cần máy thở là quan trọng đối với việc quản lý, chứ không phải chọn kế hoạch điều trị.
