On October 3, YellowBlocks together with the National Startup Support Center (Ministry of Science and Technology), Hub Global, LaunchZone summed up and awarded prizes to the winning teams and individuals at the national round of the International Blockchain Olympic competition (IBCOL 2021).
Launched on August 10, 2021 through the form of a white paper, after nearly 2 months, IBCOL 2021 has received more than 100 applications. Five excellent teams from RMIT Vietnam and VinUniversity and one individual from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics received a total prize of $5,000.
First Prize: LifeLink team from VinUni University with the topic "Blockchain platform combined with Federated Learning to support AI technology in medical research by decentralizing the system and protecting patient information."
Second Prize: Team KidKat from RMIT University Vietnam with the topic “Blockchain-based Child Trafficking Prevention System.”
Third Prize: DLA Squad team from VinUni University with the topic "Blockchain application to manage electric vehicle battery rental."
Consolation Prize: Team The Blockers from VinUni University with the topic "Application of blockchain in the field of Recordkeeping to store career certificates"; Team ViFaChain from VinUni University with the topic "Blockchain application on the control of the origin of the clean agricultural supply chain"; Individual contestant Trang Le from Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics with the topic "Application of Blockchain in the medical field".

The winners of the national competition will represent Vietnam at the IBCOL final round from October 8-10.
IBCOL is a global competition, held annually, initiated by the Hong Kong Blockchain Association and partners in more than 59 countries. Here, students, PhD students, and etc. compete with solutions using Blockchain technologies to solve real problems. This is the second year that Vietnam has a representative at the contest.
