Finalist of Ho Chi Minh city student competition with intellectual property rights
Overcoming 34 teams from universities in Ho Chi Minh City, a group of students from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities won the first prize at the final round of the "Student with intellectual property rights" contest in 2022, taking place on 28/5.

The contest was organized by Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Center for Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer of Ho Chi Minh City National University (IPTC), NOIP, with the topic "IP, Innovation and Young Generation for a Better Future" in order to raise awareness for young people about IP, respect IP rights, thereby gradually forming IP culture in the community.

Five teams from HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Law, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Eastern International University competed in the final round with 4 parts of Greeting, Warm-up, Acceleration and Affirmation. Accordingly, teams must answer 8 multiple-choice questions within 30 seconds in the Warm-up section, 5 multiple-choice questions, and respond to examiners' questions and question packs on a scale of 10-20- 30 with increasing difficulty.

To get the correct answer, candidates must learn knowledge related to IP law, such as copyright, industrial property rights, registration, establishment and enforcement of IP rights, and etc.

As a result, the team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities won the first prize of 6 million VND in cash, 300 activation codes for using the Riolish English application in 12 months, worth 300 million VND, with a consulting package, and carrying out procedures for registering valuable intellectual property worth of 15 million VND and at least 2 months of internship at IPTC.

The Eastern International University team won the second prize of 4 million VND in cash, 200 activation codes for using Riolish English application in 12 months worth of 200 million VND, consulting package, carrying out IP registration procedures worth 5 million VND and at least 2 months of internship at IPTC.

The team of the University of Economics and Law of Ho Chi Minh City won the third prize of 2.5 million dong in cash, 100 activation codes for using the Riolish English application in 12 months, worth 100 million VND, consulting package, and registration procedures. IP value of 5 million VND and at least 2 months of internship at IPTC.

The team of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and another team from the University of Economics and Law of Ho Chi Minh City jointly received the Consolation prize, with a reward of 1.5 million VND in cash, a consulting package, and implementation of IP registration procedures worth of 5 million VND and at least 2 months of internship at IPTC.
