Vietnam and the United States strengthened cooperation in the field of digital technology industry
On March 21, in Hanoi, the Minister of Information and Communications (Ministry of Information and Communications) welcomed a business delegation of the United States - ASEAN Business Council (USABC) led by Mr. Ted Osius, President and General Director of USABC, former US Ambassador to Vietnam as Head of the delegation.

Overview of the meeting
At the reception, Minister Nguyen Manh Hung welcomed members of the USABC business delegation to visit and work with the Ministry of Information and Communications, especially in the context that Vietnam and the United States have just officially upgraded their relationship to the level of comprehensive strategic Partners.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung said: Vietnam is one of the open countries on the issue of institution building, ready to listen to comments from businesses, especially foreign businesses.
The Minister highly appreciated USABC's regular dialogue with the Ministry of Information and Communications over the past time, and emphasized that the Ministry of Information and Communications is willing to listen to USABC's recommendations and difficulties to jointly discuss, remove obstacles, and strengthen and promote the activities of US businesses in Vietnam.
At the meeting, the two sides spent a lot of time discussing specific areas of mutual interest, such as cooperation in digital technology industry and semiconductor industry; digital transformation; developing artificial intelligence (AI); policies on management, provision and use of Internet services and online information, and etc.
Representatives of US businesses affirmed the importance and attractiveness of the Vietnamese market in the field of digital technology and ICT industry and said they will continue to invest and develop in Vietnam and expressed their hope want to support Vietnam's efforts in developing sustainable supply chains.
