Binh Dinh built brand for specialty coconut products
Binh Dinh province, especially Hoai Nhon town, is promoting the development of the coconut industry to enhance the value and brand of this specialty.

With a coconut growing area of over 9,350 hectares, most of which are concentrated in districts, such as Hoai Nhon, Binh Dinh has set a goal of expanding the coconut growing area to 10,000 hectares by 2030, focusing on local and Siamese coconut varieties suitable for the soil, while applying high technology and organic production according to VietGAP standards to improve product quality and productivity. In addition to domestic consumption, Binh Dinh also targets international markets, especially China, based on the advantages of short transportation distance, thin coconut shells, cool fresh water and new export licenses, helping to improve competitiveness and farmers' income.

Along with that, Hoai Nhon town focuses on developing coconut products, such as grilled coconut cake, crispy dried coconut, pure coconut oil, traditional coconut rice paper, and at the same time building production and consumption chains to promote this industry sustainably and expand the market. Environmental protection activities and pest control, especially beetles, are also promoted to maintain the productivity and quality of coconut trees. At the same time, the town combines eco-tourism with coconut trees to increase sustainable economic value, create stable jobs for people and contribute to the overall growth of the locality.

Within the province, Binh Dinh's agricultural sector actively coordinatesd with the government and businesses to build linkage chains, register growing areas, invest in building processing factories, and promote exports to the Chinese market and other potential markets. Under the direction of the province, coconut growing areas concentrated in districts, such as Phu Cat, Phu My, and Hoai An are being directed towards organic, VietGAP, and high-tech production to ensure sustainable development, increase value, and effectively exploit the international competitive advantages of Binh Dinh coconut.
