Digital transformation in Vietnamese education – Limitations, challenges and opportunities
Vietnam is becoming a technology hub in Southeast Asia, thanks to the development of large corporations, such as FPT, VNPT and many startups in the EdTech field, contributing to promoting comprehensive digital transformation.

In particular, the country's young population quickly approaches new technologies, from social networks to online learning tools, facilitating the digitalization of education. In addition, international organizations, such as UNESCO, UNICEF and the World Bank have actively supported Vietnam's digital education projects, through funding and professional advice.
The Vietnamese government has set out many important strategic policies to promote digital transformation in the education sector, such as the National Digital Transformation Project and the New General Education Program. These policies aim to create a clear legal corridor and framework, encouraging initiatives to apply technologies in teaching and learning. At the same time, the rapid development of technology and a young and dynamic workforce help the country gradually overcome challenges in infrastructure, teacher training and improving the quality of education in the digital age.
However, there are still many challenges, such as lack of synchronization in technology infrastructure, limited budget resources, and fear of change in the education community. To maximize these opportunities, it is necessary to continue promoting policies, resources, and awareness of the role of technology in developing Vietnamese education, towards a modern education system, ready for global integration.
