Digital economic resilience is the foundation to promote growth in Ho Chi Minh City
In the morning of May 17, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council coordinated with the Television Station to organize the program "People ask - Government answers" in May, with the theme of promoting the digital economy and solutions from the city.

Overview of the program
During the dialogue, voters asked many questions about digital transformation, digital infrastructure development, supporting businesses in digital transformation, administrative modernization, as well as plans to connect public services with online payment platforms. City leaders, including Deputy Secretary Nguyen Thi Le, Vice Chairman Huynh Thanh Nhan and Vice Chairman Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, and departments answered and clarified the solutions that have been and are being implemented in the digital transformation process.
Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology Vo Minh Thanh said that Ho Chi Minh City has achieved many positive results in digital transformation, such as building a digital data platform, data management and completing technology infrastructure, with a data center consisting of more than 1,248 servers operating 24/7 and integrating data from more than 2,000 units, linking the national data system.
The city also aims to build large data centers that meet international standards to serve the Southern Key Economic Zone, while developing a common cloud computing infrastructure for government agencies and small businesses to reduce investment costs and promote the city’s innovative digital economy. A policy of cooperation with large technology corporations is also proposed to build regional data centers under the Central Government’s mechanism.
In the field of serving people and businesses, Ho Chi Minh City has deployed many digital services, such as an interconnected administrative procedure management system, connecting identity authentication via VNeID, and integrating the National Public Service Portal. In particular, the city has exempted 98 online administrative procedures from fees until the end of 2025, and the system has been linked to an online payment platform, allowing people to make convenient and cashless online payments. These efforts demonstrate Ho Chi Minh City's commitment to providing faster, more convenient and more effective public services to the community.
