On March 12, 2024, Cantho City Department of Science and Technology organized a meeting of science and technology enterprises in 2024. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee attended and gave a directive speech. At the meeting, leaders of Can Tho Department of Science and Technology awarded Science and Technology Enterprise Certificates to 4 units.
At the meeting, representatives of S&T enterprises in Can Tho City shared about difficulties and obstacles in the process of production and business activities. In particular, most of the current S&T enterprises lack capital and land fund to promote research, product development, market expansion, and etc. Access to State support policies, especially capital Credit and credit support with preferential interest rates for science and technology enterprises also face many difficulties.
Representatives of leaders of departments, branches, banks, credit guarantee funds... had answers to help partly resolve difficulties and questions of businesses. Delegates proposed solutions to support science and technology enterprises in terms of mechanisms and policies, create favorable conditions for small and medium-sized enterprises to access bank credit capital and perform good communication work so that enterprises understand and properly implement guidelines, policies and support programs of the banking industry for small and medium enterprises, especially science and technology enterprises. In addition, promote propaganda and dissemination of information and knowledge about intellectual property on mass media; Strengthen guidance for organizations and businesses to register for industrial property protection; Consulting, supporting, establishing intellectual property rights to be granted a certificate of protection.
Giving a directive speech, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He - Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts of S&T enterprises, noted the proposals and recommendations of the units and will submit them to the City People's Committee for consideration and effective solution. At the same time, it is recommended that the Department of Science and Technology of the City continue to take advantage of the direction of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises to improve the competitiveness and development of the City's Science and Technology enterprises, contributing more to the local development of science and technology, socio-economic development.
Also at the meeting, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho City awarded Science and Technology Enterprise Certificates to 4 units including: RUN TOGETHER Sports Technology Joint Stock Company; TGO SOFTWARE LLC; Mekong Clean Sand Technology Joint Stock Company and II Joint Stock Company (up to now, the total number of S&T enterprises in Can Tho City is 12, operating mainly in the fields of science and technology - technology, agricultural science, information technology and construction.
