Robot tự động loại bỏ cỏ dại
Trong tương lai, có thể thấy một robot tự động có kích thước của một máy cắt cỏ lớn tự lái quanh các cánh đồng của người chăn nuôi bò sữa hữu cơ. Ở đây, nó sẽ tìm kiếm cỏ và loại bỏ chúng.

Khi robot đã tìm thấy cỏ dại, nhiệm vụ tiếp theo của nó là diệt cỏ dại bằng một trong hai thiết bị của nó. Thiết bị này một phần là laser và một phần là thiết bị có thể gây sốc cho cỏ dại. Về lâu dài, robot sẽ chỉ được trang bị một trong hai công cụ, tùy thuộc vào việc kiểm soát cỏ dại.

Dự án bao gồm Đại học Nghiên cứu Wageningen ở Hà Lan, là trường đại học hàng đầu thế giới về phát triển các giải pháp công nghệ mới cho nông nghiệp.

Robot sử dụng các vệ tinh Galileo của châu Âu, có thể chỉ ra vị trí của chính nó và vị trí của cỏ dại trong cánh đồng trong phạm vi vài cm.

Arla Food là Công ty sản xuất sữa lớn nhất thế giới (Đan Mạch) hỗ trợ dự án và sẽ giúp tạo điều kiện giao tiếp với những người chăn nuôi bò sữa hữu cơ có thể đóng góp cho sự phát triển bằng cách cung cấp đầu vào.

Ở những nơi khác, dự án cũng sẽ có cơ hội thử nghiệm các giải pháp của mình ở Hà Lan và Pháp, các đối tác tham gia khác của dự án.

Robot tự động loại bỏ cỏ dại đầu tiên sẽ được thử nghiệm trong năm nay.
